FC is right about props. I used to have a 16’ Baja/115HO as our family ski boat. Of course I tried a few props to see how fast it would go. A 27 Hill Hoss copy just rolled onto a plane and went 67. A 26 small ear chopper spun to 5000 for a few minutes (seemed like forever) and went 67. Both were over hub props

That particular plate is for running (frequently) in relatively shallow water. Helps to get you up on plane fast even in crazy shallow water, while also mitigating the potential for prop cavitation. A must have for any flats boat.

Hey guys be careful with these plates cuz in rough water if you launch and the back of the boat comes down on top of a wave it can cause the bow to drop faster than without them and stuff the nose of the boat. So if you build your own design it like an Allison where it is cut off at the back of the cavitation plate This will help prevent that problem as well as cutting down the drag of the rooster tail hitting the foil. I do not like the bobs for those 2 reasons.
