Ok so green 79 to 82 crossflow stator with 86 to 87 dual power packs 86 to 87 trigger my good running 89 regulator and 89 coils all omc1�� lol and the gold fly wheel with the v4 bearing stator carrier is the consensus

Ok guys I found a never used omc green stator and I have a line on 2 86-87 power packs that I'm gonna order and the only timer base I can find at the moment looks pretty beat up so just gonna keep my eye open and I'm gonna keep my regulator like racer suggested now can I use my 89 or 94 coils or should I find 86 to 87 coils

The Coils are all the same yours will be fine, be patient and you will find one.

Seaway is a 1/2 hour from me. They had everything I needed for my old XP 175 Cross flow.
I had a 1986 225 Johnson, back in the day, and had power pack issues. I replaced them with GT 200, 6,700 units.
Shows that they have 4 of the 86, 87 225hp in stock.

Think the 93 225 power pack from cdi runs 7500 limit/that’s what I have/just gotta leave QuickStart unplugged for 94 n newer/I think it is.
like the man said though/sounds like sea-way’s your best bet either way.

i think quickstart needs to be grounded out or else it will burn up the switch. thought i heard that. manual says something about not running it disconnected.

yeah ill see if i can find the section in one of my manuals. the black/yellow is the kill wire so you wouldnt be able to shut the motor off if it was unplugged but im not near a wiring diagram. they know more than ive forgotten, however.
