    Weldon fuel pump cavitation

Anybody have a problem with this? My port Weldon 2005a seems to cavitate (I can hear it sometimes) and once and awhile around 4000 rpm my tac with fluctuate 1-200 rpms on the same motor. Now, I just searched and found a thread where a few people had an issue like mine but they traced it to a set of props?
Anyway, I don't want to hurt anything so I am debating about sending that pump back to Weldon to see if they can find anything.

    Any ideas?

Do you have fuel pressure gauges? The only fuel pump starvation I’ve ever experienced is low fuel or a blocked filter. Possibly fuel tank pick up problems. Generally you want to use a fuel pump relay, those pumps draw quite a few amps.

does your pump look something like this?Click image for larger version.

Yep, except yours is the 2015a, mine is the 2005a. Fuel pressure is fine. I was going to put out intake tube and make sure it's ok. I have spoken with a few people that told me their Weldons all sounded like mine do. I know they are load, but this one cavitates a little.

    I just don't know.
