I may have seen this boat race before.

I was on turn boat duty at the Mod OB Nats in Kingston Tn about ‘1975 or.

First time I’d seen a tunnel run in kneel down but always liked them.

Told my partner in the turn boat, my attraction to them, and He immediately explained why they would never run or be competitive.

That was while they were milling around for the start.

This was either D or E Mod hydro.
So big power for a boat that small.

A fair, even start for everyone and the tunnel checked out!
He was flat as flying.

Never saw another one run but was my inspiration to build one 10 yrs later.

D or E mod were.......small to what we ran.........OMC 90/99 cross flows..........Phifft.........150 on sssm on a 12 hydro.........This boat,,,,, I am thinking a V4 with a peterson overdrive........Just overkill............

14 ft OPC tunnel is HUGE and heavy for 850 mod. My DeSilva Delta 12 ft tunnel is more in line for mod. I may run it again this coming year.
