He's finishing up today his version of a 7 pedal PM.
Were trying to run something very reliable with stock fuel injection and limter so we stand a better chance of finishing.
Trying to find the correct balance with our ski lay-up hull to run in the high 80's for 4hrs.
Won't be the fastest but contending and finishing is a huge accomplishment

Down at Bandyland secret test grounds on the lower Colorado River to test the Rampage after making some modifications to our set up.
The PM left Tennessee yesterday so I have a stock EE motor to test with and a back seat full of props.

The Parker Enduro is 4 days away. We've been busy the last couple weeks driving back and forth to the river (Bandyland) testing the Rampage. After all the mods we did which corrected the nasty hop we discovered the transome is not safe to run.
We will have to run my sprint boat. 86 18.6 Baker.
To make things more challenging, James's 225 PM left Tenn on the 13th and still hasn't arrived in Ca. Thanks Biden and camel toe harris. I'm going to chase down my engine tomorrow in Havasu at a shipping dock so we can break it in before Friday

Thought all those were in the 20'2" range to get away from coast guard regulations

a 22 would be nice for that race

What weight would a Laser EFI have to run, would think it would be a good option.

at least you have a good excuse to drive out to Havasu! I'm pretty sure it's impossible to be upset while making that drive! Hate to hear that the enduro boat isn't usable right now, that 18'6" boat is awfully short but she'll be just fine!

Well the PM never made it to the shipping dock in Havasu.
I'm assuming it's stuck in the planneddemic virus cloud.
Nevertheless we will be running our backup 200 EE with stock exhaust chest and the exhaust opened to match a 2.4 one piece exhaust plate, after market reeds, 38cc heads, 24 deg's timing and 46's.
This engine will allow us to run Div6 at 1300lbs without fuel or driver which we can meet. Should run 85-88 depending on fuel weight and with some luck our stuff will stay together.

From what I've learned, Jerry Baker design his first Modvp tunnel which was a 20' 82ish with the help of racer and his dad. I've owned a 85 which I believe is the first or second year for the 18.6. The 85 was originally built for the boat show and came with a 145 rude and was a super light layup.
My 86 sprint boat was built to race and I was lucky to find it.
Not sure what class a Lazer would fall in. Did you check the rules

Just a updated on our PM which left Tenn on 10/13, the delivery date continues to be pushed every morning I check on its status.
Been crazy busy the last couple days trying to pull everything together for this race.
Found out our cut 15" mid section that I only ran on this boat and was my sprint race boat only, was weeping water, not from the splice area but from head bolt area, probably from over tightening in past races. So Thurs night we changed everything over to 20". Loaded up and made it to the course on Fri afternoon to setup and test. And wouldn't you know it my dumbass left my go to prop at home with everything going on. So after a 7 hour drive were good. Things you'll do for that special prop.
