1600.00 for the propshaft yikes is it FAA certified too.... No spin welding, 1pc just machine, heat treat, and chrome plate the seal/ prop spline like the old hp shafts. Hopefully for that money your getting some expensive material like inconel or mp35.

JPEROG--I heard that they are using the new one piece shafts in the 300r's. Do you know if that is the case?

Are the Nizpro Yammies an alternative? Or are they just too much of a niche/ expensive?

I have yet to see one running with all of the poker runs and performance gatherings that we attend and there are hundreds of 450s present. My guess is that new boat buyers like the idea of a warranty and something that will hold up to offshore conditions (not many yamahas in the race circuits).

I stand corrected, mine were both before that date. I upgraded them with the 450 shafts.

With the 2000 HP blower motors in our dragsters . It took a ringless 300M input shaft to quit breaking them @ the gear change. As you know, sideloading any shaft in single shear is asking for trouble .
Even worse when the new upgraded shafts come with a tag like this on them ...

Aircraft flap tracks were made from 300m its tough. Mp35n is a nickel alloy that's about as tough and has excellent corrosion resistance, amazing stuff. If they did go with coated steel oh boy...

I am told that the one piece shafts are in all the 300R's after November 2020. I have not had any customers break them if made after that date.
