Jeff Rodengen might be unparalleled in chronicling the Marine Industry.

Jeff Rodengen has chronicled some major personnel and companies in the marine industry, which have impacted and contributed to the pleasures and activities on water.

I am sure there our others, like Jeff, in the boating world, that need to be recognized too.

I'll definitely check those books out. Not to take away from the posted author, I also enjoy Peter Hunns books such as Beautiful Outboards and The Outboard Book

Thanks for posting this up X. Totally agree and cool to see all the content in one place that Jeff did. I had no idea

Jeff definitely is our single source for printed material. If you understand that the books are collections of his magazine articles over decades on each subject you understand why there is so much redundancy in them. He does his best to edit the pieces together into a single story, but it would have taken him twice as long to really cut it to what a real publisher would have insisted on. Being a self publisher has its advantages.

Peter Hunn, on the other hand gave his books over to a publishing company and did not have control of the finished product. Some is what he wrote and some is what the publishing company editor "fixed"

A friend of mine worked for Jeff back in the 90's. The first book I read by him was Iron Fist, of course. He's what I believe to be the greatest of corporate chroniclers
