I left a private message with my number for contact and I suggested the hull to be sprayed in a very similar base colour as it is now on the sides and top then spray some flake on it then lock it down with some clear -
I prefer spraying gel just because it will provide a better more stable base on fiberglass and really is just as simple as a good 2 part epoxy primer but both are excellent .
Yes the flake is another step or 2 but it's just spectacular on water and it's usual on this hull . Just bury it in clear then some sanding and buffing . It makes the hull .
Easy for me to say I guess sitting here but if I was closer guys I would be there .

Thank you very much Kelly. I did receive the PM and will forward it to the group. Sounds like some solid advice and I will pass this along to others on this project who are much more skilled in this area than I. We sincerely appreciate it.

David - we have 2-3 options at the moment, both OMC and Mercury. We do not yet have anything "in hand" and no decisions have been made yet, and may not be for some time. Depending on what we get and what additional work it might need could sway the decision one way or another. At the moment a good red plug, dash mount, OMC harness would be helpful. I believe we have a Merc harness or two on the way. Please understand that whatever you send, will not go to waste and will go to benefit DanO. He has 3 other project boats and I am certain he is intent on finishing them.

What's the address to send stuff to? That static 2" plate I spoke of, and maybe a prop, if they can't be used, maybe you guys can throw em on CL or eBay, and get some $ for the cause???

Even though I am retired if the motor is a Merc and needs help I may be of some help.

Correction: Merc wiring & trim relay setup for a 3 ram

Big thanks to Bill Foner & Gordy Johnson for the recent donations we picked up in Rice Lake this weekend.....big help!

A couple things on the list above were offered to us but we haven't solidified the parts offered and/or are working between a couple people to make a complete set of the things we still need to take them off the list. Please be patient as we are working through leads to finalize what we need on our end.

Thanks again to everyone else that was also at the Rice Lake UMPBA race who donated parts or money to the cause....the issue I have is that everyone is being soooooo generous with this situation, it is hard to always list everybody that is helping but we will post EVERYONE'S NAME when this project is done in thanks for all the help.....you all are awesome! This is THE REASON why I love the boating community, as well as Scream & Fly!!!!!!!

Talked with Dan last night as he called to congratulate me on a race win. Such a good dude to call me to talk about a race when he is in this situation. Talking with him about the situation it is just horrible how bad they destroyed absolutely everything in there to put the fire out. Just crushing everything and turning it all over and damaging even rebuildable things, or maybe rebuildable things. It all got smashed he said! And to hear of the things that were in there is a huge financial hit for him. I hope this brings him some sunlight, but he just sounded down and I can see why. Thank you to everyone who is helping with this especially the boys in Wisco. Thank you. It is just an incredible idea and I wish I could help more.
