tach should be on 6 poles or 12 pulse per rev, i think the 140 came with both cases in some years but the large case model has a diff ratio than a v6 case , so you have a13x19 not a 14.5 x19

i cant see your attachment for the 1990, but the numbers on my carbs are as follows:
carb body: 398743
2 screw plate on side: 432903
float bowl: 333525
all 4 carbs have these same numbers, when i look these up on marineengine.com it comes up as a 1990
the throttle plate housing numbers are as follows:
top of housing: E334872
bottom of housing: MX334872
throttle butterfly: 332250
my tach is currently on the "5" setting which i believe is the setting for "12 cycles" there is also a "6" setting but doesnt say how many cycles that is?? not too sure about thisLast edited by joeymcgovs; 09-05-2021 at 05:21 PM.

i had to use a magnifying glass too haha
so i guess the jets in my carbs should be: 54, 41, 63D in all 4 of them
i guess i gota start looking for 4 - 63D's for the high speed, i already found 2 - 54's for the intermediates, just hope this is correct *♂️

its strange how the models after 1990 seem to have different jets on different sides, i wonder why they did this?
