That pass the boat made in the video is the first and only pass its ever made. Not bad for absolutely zero testing and weight not being where it needed to be Boat got finished being put together days before the shootout. The multi million dollar Jaguar team set the electric o/b world record at 88mph. We run an unofficial 85 on its first and only pass ever and I tell ya, there alot more power left on the table and that was with a tiny 28P lightning ET. I have much bigger wheels for it. Anyways, boat is already taken apart and getting setup for one specific purpose. You boys are going to see more of this boat real soon and will put up a #.... I personally own a 280, a drag and a 300X on my little 21 skater. I'm a 2 stroke guy, but it was a blast trying something new and driving this fun boat 3mph less than a world record. Cheers and a blessed day to all 🏁

Lol. Like it or not, you’re very wrong.

Cool to see you come so close to the record. Electric is not my cup of tea, but get out there and run what you got!

So "officially" it went 46 or 48 .. as someone posted ... ???

Got way more in it ... How did I know ..

You boys are going to see more of this boat real soon and will put up a #.... 
Like I said , it's good to be optimistic . Sell wolf tickets , and if it doesn't go as planned you have opened the door for much ridicule ... Seen that too ..

I didn’t get to see the video of your pass.

I was watching live when it was your turn but you had problems snd aborted.

Personally, I freagin love that you did what you did.
    Bad ass my friend!

I thought the boat looked good in the pic you posted.
85 is fast in a small boat.

85 in an electric boat….., KILLER!

Is that a fork lift motor?
I think that’s what they ran in record holding kneel down boat.

PS, knowing that electric motors are at 100% torque at 1 rpm……, I’d like to drive it w/a 20” Yammi drag!

    Again, congrats Mr Cruz.
As an OMC guy, I understand the underdog thing

I suggest you start a thread about your build in the tech section.
Post/show whatever you’re willing to divulge.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Yeah, my Vector was a 99 mph boat for its entire first season.
Funny too that even at 101, I was always amazed by how many 110/115 mph tunnels I out ran 😎

On the electric stuff, like you, I am sick of the propaganda shoved down our throats, paid for by us.

But if a guy wants to experiment….., that’s what makes us us!

I was at Morroso Dragway a few yrs before we moved back north and a guy was racing an electric Porsche 944.
He was a high school shop teacher and it was a previous class project.

He was deep into the 10’s w/it so it was no toy.

I watched him make a couple passes w/it. (No kids there)

After each pass he parked it by the car trailer which had…..a battery charger powered by a 4 banger Pinto motor! 🤓😂😉👍🏻

So to sit back and look at the big picture, it was really kind of funny.
Kind of where we are w/today’s “zero emission” cars.

Cool project, especially for the kids, but I’d of rather built the 4 banger Porsche motor.

PS, my dad was an electrical engineer w/his own consulting business and he told me when I was in high school (the’70’s) that I should go to school on battery technology!
    In the 70’s!

Said then, that’s where the advancement needs to be.

But you just wait ... LOL

I have heard those special few at the track ... It'll go quicker , It's got way more in it. Well ... big Duuuuu , why didn't you just do it ... LMAO

    I hovered around 198 - 199 for about a year . Was it a 200 mph car ??? Nope , not until I made some changes .. then it went 201 .

It's good to be optimistic .. counting your chicken's before they hatch .. is foolish .

Hey Gilligan I see you posted you have a 140hp on your boat, so what's the deal, he is twice as fast as you?

I would like to clarify to Anthony that i was not hating on your attempt. But if that was the very first time making passes in it. Why would you bring it to a place like lotto where the whole high performance world is watching. Ya might have tried to make a few passes before the debut. I congratulate you on your efforts.

To Mr.madtunnel. the boat had not been in the water or been on plane till LOTO. It was a hail Mary pass and there was some bugs to work out Thursday & Friday before the competition. The pass that the boat made was its first time being any faster than just on plane because Thursday & Friday was a poker run. If you've never been to the Ozarks and I can tell some of the guys talking crap on here haven't been, it's a very choppy lake run. The 38foot cigs and skaters running before me I could hear their drives coming out of the water as the rpms would hit the limiter... so I knew it was going to be bumpy. Half track in boat GPS I saw 85. After getting out of it a couple times and getting back into it we trapped 72 at the end of the course. In a short time I'll make another post with some new #'s and we'll see what these guys say then. Again, I love 2 strokes and I have no problem mixing my klotz smelling that. This was a hell of a fun experiment and there's alot more to come.
