    MX 13 Clone, prop suggestions

Putting a stock Merc 115 6cyl inline on an MX 13 clone. Looking for suggestions on first prop, I don't have one at all for this engine so no data. Thanks! -Eric

How high is the motor on the transom? Are you just looking for all out speed?

Speed. I haven't mounted this new 115 yet. The 50 had 15" from bottom centerline of boat to skeg on engine. I can mount this a couple of inches higher, but not lower. Planning on using jacking plate so I don't have to remount to find the sweet spot. Probably hydraulic.

    EDIT: Doh, transom height. 20"

I have run quite a few combos similar to this over the years. I've had 14', and a few 16 MX but never a 13. If your motor has ADI ign then it is the same as an early 150. If you have a low water pick even better. I would start with around a 26-28" inline chopper(3 blade). It will be a handful. As always make sure your steering is tight. A foot throttle and trim buttons on the wheel or foot rest or blinker so you can keep 2 hands on the wheel.

Many thank you. Looking at LWPs, pretty sure that's going before first run. Foot throttle is a must, left fingers are dead, I strap left hand on the wheel with a special glove, no way I can mix a hand throttle in the there.
