    Sportsmaster propshafts

    Hi,
The prop shaft in my 20” 1.87 RH sportsmaster has a hairline crack around the area where the thrust washer sits. I have a spare propshaft from a LH sporty but it has an extra piece on the shaft as can be seen in the photos, is it possible to machine this off and run this shaft in the RH box? There is also a small lip at the front side of the clutch splines which the LH box doesn’t have, will this be a problem?
    Many thanks
