Wow, one of my all time favorite bands! Dusty was only 72.

ZZ Top was the oldest original line up rock band in history.

First major concert I went to was ZZ Top, in 1978. I had just turned 14 so my dad let me go alone. I was up against the barricade right in front of the left stage speakers. I was hard of hearing for the next 24hrs,lol.I still have pictures I took with a little 110 film camera. I'll have to see if I can find them.
Rest in peace Mr. Hill.-----------------------

When I lived in CT some of my buddies were out bowling when all 3 of them walked in and bowled on the ally next to them... they were playing in Hartford (I think) the next night and were just hanging out. RIP Dusty.
Let's just go ahead and make America great again!

Hate to hear that. Seen them live maybe 5 or 6 times. On the Eliminator tour they had a huge screen behind them and there were a couple girls dancing behind it so you just seen the shadow of them. Had 4 Las Vegas style show girls for most of the show. At the end they had the show girls parading thru the crowd. People were going nuts then I noticed there was an extra show girl. Once back up on stage they spot lighted the extra show girl and it was Pauli Shore. The place went crazy. I listen to the Top often. RIP Dusty.

Cool Dusty story I read recently.....in the mid 70s, ZZT took a few years off from touring. Dusty wanted to feel like a normal person again.....so he got a job at the DFW airport as a ground crew for several months!
