The USGS guage at Wilcox shows current flow near 20k feet per second and normal is about 7k. For those of you with local knowledge, what's the likelihood the river can get down to normal flow in 4 weeks. Suwannee seems slow to drop unlike NC rivers. I have a vrbo house rented and want to recover any $$ I can if chances are not good. Thanks.

I was there yesterday and it’s super high. This will be my first event to attend, so idk hopefully it will continue to drop in the coming weeks and does not rise again. Definitely too much debris to run fast safely, as long as it’s falling debris should clear up( fingers crossed) just my two cent, others probably know better than me. I will be there in my 21’ cougar every weekend as soon as it’s fixed, one more week!

it can come down as long as the rain stops , probably not far enough for the springs to clear up ,the forecast looks good with little rain in the coming weeks so it’s a good start , cross ya fingers my place been flooded since the beginning of July

Thanks for the input. So the river is "open"? I know one year a couple years back the entire event was moved to the southern portion of the St. Johns. I seem to recall that boats were not permitted to launch at that time, but memory may be wrong. Thanks again.

River will be going down . Hit this link for continuous updates of river level at the Wilcox station near US 19 . Anything below 7 is ok .

For the first time EVVVVVEEEEERRRRR, I am coming!

I think I’ll actually make it this time Tom!
Tried for all 9 yrs that we lived down there and something always blew up in my face.

My buddy/brother/Rumble on the River partner Tony Wilson called me yesterday and invited us down for it.

    Booked our flights this morning.

    Yeeeeee hahhhhhh!

    Cant wait.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
