Yamaha drag is what I’m running now. I went to my local Mercury dealer the guy told me he never heard of a lightning ET. I asked him to ask someone who would know. He told me he has been in the business for 30 years.(young kid) He looked it up and told me they’re no longer available. It figures they mostly sell bass boats. This happened about two years ago.

The Hill is thicker from what I have seen VS an ET. Which explains why ET's like to crack!

I've ran a merc 24 and a hill 26 on my boat... pitch variables aside, they both acted the same on my STV. slight positive trim to really get the boat up and accelerating (trim as compared to a cleaver which needs virtually no positive trim to run how I want it to)

Hill propellers is about 10 miles from me. About 22 years ago I purchase three propellers from them every one of them threw a blade, they told me it was my fault. I’m 99% certain back then they welded the blades on. I’ve heard now they use casting.
I still hear positive and negative things about the propellers.

I’ve heard Mercury ET can crack but I don’t know anyone personally who has had it happen.

Lots more work making an ET from a Chopper but with proper work a hill can be just as fast/quick as a true ET.
