    Flow Torq Prop Hub choices

Anyone using the new SSR Hub? Any benefit over the old style with the rubber strips glued to it?

Have one on my new 300. They are a son of a b!tch to get back out once they're in though. But they are smooth. Believe it's what is recommended from mercury on the V8's.

I had two and liked them on my 225 PM. It idled high and shifted hard. My 200 XS ROS idles at 600 rpm and doesn’t need one.

Very hard to get out. I had to pay a shop to press one out. The other is still in a Drag 4

I had to use a socket as a punch in my 20 ton hydraulic to push mine out. Make sure you lube the rubber good when you reassemble it.

I found that (2) big flat head screwdrivers on the back side of the hub/prop work best to get them out. Been trying a bunch of new props with the Spectre and with only (1) hub kit, I had to figure out a better way. Lol...

That hub makes for some very smooth shifting, but I was told that it is not meant for boats over 85 MPH or surfacing props, FYI.

I ran one on mine before I knew that, but it shifted like butter compared to the solid hub w/plastic slats.
A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...

Do you still run the old style with the slats? I have seen them break over time.... The reason for asking about them
