2.4 7 pedal intake 87627 with nitrous tubes

I have a set up for nitrous on a 2.4 and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what motor 87627 intake came off? I would think a BP or something, or maybe the early 225 2.4 but I cannot find that part number. Also, I ran a wet fogger system on my crossflow where at fuel pressure of 6 lbs and bottle pressure of 1000 the jets are about the same size give or take (6 nozzles). Now the tubes in this intake have the nitrous hole bore looking to be much bigger than the fuel hole bore. I am guessing I will have to run a higher fuel pressure on this intake as there will not be enough fuel if I run it at 6 lbs fuel pressure for the methanol. Anyone have an idea how to measure the bore diameter in these as I do not have anything like that.

Do you have a set of number drills?

I do not rock. It is small, I would guess the holes are about .02-.03" but need to know so I know what fuel pressure to run. I will have to find a precision machine shop that will help me out who may have the tools to measure them or order up a cheap set of bits, 60-80 or something should work and cover the sizes.

The nitrous holes are smaller than .032 as I have some safety wire that is that diameter and it doesn't fit. Just really need to know the fuel size to figure my fuel pressure needed

The fuel hole is bigger than the nitrous hole. Hopefully you are running Pyros 6 to 7 pounds fuel pressure with 1000 psi bottle pressure is a good start.
The tubes are not very difficult to make but it’s advisable to flow test after drilling. A couple different ways to do it, one’s easy, the other one requires more work but it’s more accurate.

I have all the drillbits sizes written down in books at home when I have time I will let you know what they are.

The top two are 175 shot the bottom two are 100 shot.

I wonder if my tubes are labeled wrong. My nos holes are bigger than the fuel from what I see on my intake I have for the 2.4.

Should the nos tube spray across/over the fuel tube? or should the fuel tube spray across/over the nos tube?

With my nozzle wet system the jets are about the same size, only .003" to .004" different.

I haven’t forgot. Half my stuff is at my house the other half is at my business location. I have to go to my shop this weekend I’ll do some more investigating. I’ll show you how Chuck Goodman set mine up.

I haven’t looked at the detail book yet, however I did notice(note written on a storage bin) 100 shot of nitrous and 100 shot of methanol both use a number 72 micro bit for the holes. I’m pretty sure I can verify this weekend.

On the 175 shot the fuel is a 65 micro bit and the NOS is a 71 micro bit. When I find the book I will know what a 150 shot works out to.

Thank you. That makes more sense for my 2.4 carb setup and the stamped labels are wrong or I assumed the wrong tube

Most of the tubes I have are stamped from Chuck at Nitrox so I’m certain they are correct plus I used them for years so they do work.

Where did he stamp them? Will look on my 2.4 carb intake with tubes. Do they go in and out easy in the drilled intake? I would assume most any machine shop could dill another plate.

Marv is in Your Neighborhood and Has a vast experience with that system.
One thing He always Did was Flow the System and Weight it Before ever Hit the engine.
Does save on the terminal Parts Pile.

I was going to take them out of the intake on my 2.4 carb intake and pressure it with water and see if they all flow the same. Can't be that tough but not sure how accurate it will be. Haha

Here is a photo of the stamp. I will call George from Nitrox today and ask him how he drilled the intake. They’re marked F and N some of mine have a one or two that just means first stage or second stage of nitrous.
