Only on OMC Merc static setting will not change, should have full timing advance 3500rpm or just over. Unless it has an advance module. Originally Posted by Forkin' Crazy
It is true as per the manual. Run a test wheel. I am told the timing "CAN" creep up a few degrees if you don't set it at RPM.
Why, I don't know, but running a bit of compression in my motors, I don't want to take a chance at burning one down. I have done that just on a bad tank of gas.
