Eliminator 207 Ski Tunnel Hull Prop Advice
I'm having a hard time getting the 2.4L 245 Bridgeport to rev past 5300 RPMs with my current set-up/Prop.
Boat Set-up: 1990 Eliminator 207Edge(tunnel hull) with 16" of set-back and 5" hyd jackplate. With the jackplate all the way up, and the trim about neutral, the pad of the boat is pretty much in-line with the prop shaft, give or take about 1/8"-3/16". I can trim up a decent amount and not loose water pressure but still only top out at 5300 RPMs.
Motor: 1986 2.4L 245 Bridgeport EFI w/40 amp electronics, 20" Bass thats been cut and welded like an offshore, LWP lower unit that is from a stock 1991 2.5L 200 (unknown gear ratio)
Prop: 24P Mercury Chopper P/N: 48 75772 A5 24P
Should I try to find like a 13" x 18P, if that even exists? Any Input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Something is wrong with the boat or the motor. 24 is not too much pitch for 245 HP. Is the bottom of the boat straight and is the hull sound, ie no rot in core?
