    Aluminum Trailer Options

Starting to really consider a new trailer for my grandsport. Saltwater here so want Aluminum plus the weight for manhandling it in the yard.
Not looking for something super kitted out, don't need trailer brakes. Just want something simple and clean. Only special thoughts is I want my boat to sit as low as possible/safely.
What's some recommendations for companies to look at?

Grand sport is different in the back than my SS but the one thing I don't like about my trailer is that it sits too low. I have the tall fin rear hatch so I can't tilt up very far. Something to consider when ordering. Skeg height to the ground. Trim units can fail. You'll still want to be able to pull the boat with the trim all the way down.

Or if a tire fails you want enough clearance between Skeg and ground.

There's a lot of trailer manufacturers in FL. Probably 30 or 40. Only a few bend the I beams. Most buy them bent.

The primary differences are welded or bolted together, SS hdwe or other, and brakes. Since you don't need them the last doesn't matter.

I've built maybe 10 trailers for boats I was selling and I specify the parts I want, in a written list. Then I set it out to bid. You'd be amazed at the price difference for essentially the same trailer.

Yea I have the offshore mid with the horizontal trim so I dont get much tilt. I keep the boat in a yard with a slip so it doesn't move much for me to be overly concerned with trim or wheel failures as I'd see it right away. and if the trailer does go on the road it won't be for more than 10 miles.
Saying that though I appreciate the too low concern. I would try and lower it on my existing trailer but the cross beams are straight, no dip, so I'd hate to lower it then grind the bottom trying to load up.
