Mercury trim help - motor to pump

Hi, I have a 1983 150 v6, this is mine pictured here... I have a trim pump that came with it, also pictured here.. The pump appears to be newer version and have a much larger 1/2 x 20 female thread with counterbore for o-ring. The lines coming out of motor under transom appear to be 3/8 x 24.

Do I have the wrong pump?
Does this newer style pump use quick connects? If so, can I buy the adaptors and make it work with the existing stock lines?

Thank you, scream and fly..!Click image for larger version.

I HAVE a 83 150, the hard lines from the motor have two different fittings, to avoid mismatching. you might want to take a close look, at a glance they look the same. lines will match, ends to pump, ends to engine r & l.
