    1988 85 Force ignition

Hello friends... I am trying to troubleshoot my friends 85 HP Force outboard. #1 cylinder has no spark. To make matters worse.. I can't remove the flywheel to inspect the stator. Is there something I can check without removing the wheel?
I know you guys are the best! Thanks!

Problem stays with #1 cyl. I got the flywheel off finally! There is a circular type magnet... all the way around... not secured in any way! Stator coils look good but didn't check with meter

Thats one of the worst ing systems on the planet. The cdi boxes work together and will fight each other.Usually you will have to replace both cdi boxes and the stator. Could cost more then the motor is worth.Or find a set of electronics in working order on ebay/fb? Good luck bro you will need it.
I may be slow but im ahead of you. *hit's only ankle deep but you went in head first.
