Anyone know what lower unit this is? I do not have the serial number at the moment

Anyone know what lower unit this is. I am told it is a CLE. Would the water pickups not be on the bottom of the conenstead of the top? Not an expert here so any help would be appreciated.

The "ModVP" CLE cases have the two holes above the cone... I think it was in the rules for Mod VP racing. That's what I have, too.

So there are 2 hole CLE with the two holes under the cone as well?. The higher holes, does this impact cooling in any way when running high? Other considerations? Its for sale and right now I am running stock fishing 200 blackmax but have a bridgeport sitting in the wings with no lower end. harder to get cases here in Canada for some reason. None really listed anywhere so looking at this as an option to go under the bridgeport.

I will have the serial number later tonight and will post for better clarity. Also wondering if one can tell whether this is a swept skeg or straight? Finding some of this information is getting harder

Yes, three different CLE gearcases... 4 hole, 2 below, or 2 above the cone.

There is video on here somewhere of a boat running where the tip of the cone is well above the waterline; so the ModVP case probably wouldn't be great for that?
