Prop help
I have a 19ft bowrider with a 150 Mariner. It currently has a 17 pitch aluminum prop. I want more top speed while staying in the rpm range. The current prop gives me 5400rpm at 40mph.
I want to try a 16 pitch Enertia but no one in the country seems to have one. Mercury is backordered till August. The couple listed on ebay were false advertising. Does anyone know of any props that are similar with my top speed goals in mind?

16p is a tuff size. Maybe a tempest, mirage or a laser-2. Lot of them used out there.

I would go to a 19" pitch. From the 17 to a 16 will give you more rpm with a little better hole shot but for top end go higher in pitch

I just ordered a Q3 17p from Quicksilver. It's supposed to be an Enertia equivalent. I should still be in the rpm range with the 17.

Scratch that. It was misadvertised as in stock as well. I'm going to try the Turning Point 14.24x17 until next year when Mercury is back in stock.

I have a 15p Q3 if you find you don't like the holeshot of the 17p. I would trade you.
I run a 17 q3 on my commercial boat (22 ft) with a 150 sea pro...in my opinion they are not fast props and will never be. Good weight pusher though. I would disagree with Bodhi and say go down in pitch for better holeshot...that can yield higher WOT rpm and speed too even though it is counter-intuitive. I think a 15 or 16 may be faster for you and push your rpm up (but still safe for a v6). The enertia performs well and it has more cup than the Q series. I would maybe try a 14.8x16 enertia.
Lazers slip a lot so I don't think you would get better WOT speed with one, you are at 8% slip now and I normally see the Lazers in the 12% +/- range.

Laser II props suck monkey nuts. Never seen an application where a laser was the best prop for the job.

I ran a laser 2 prop for years on a 22' Mako with a merc 200 and it rocked. Bow lift, fast plane out. Decent top end for a big CC fish boat.

I managed to find an enertia 16p. I also bought a Turning Point 17p. We will see what RPMs they turn.

The 16p enertia gave me 41mph at 5300rpms. Slightly better than the aluminum 17p 40mph at 5300rpm. I can trim it higher than the aluminum.

The Turning Point Express was slightly smaller in diameter but was 17p. It only turned 5000rpm and 39mph. The Enertia 16p seems the best so far.
