    Allison 14R

Finally took my 1971 Allison out yesterday. Couldn't have asked for a better shake down run. Tach quit working but she comes out good and flys nice. Motor is a 71 135. Running 14:15 speedmaster with 9x15 3 blade cleaver. Gotta figure tach out. Still can't get Smile of my face.

I'd say that qualifies as flying on the pad. Great shot.

I bought the hull out of Florida. I have been messing around rigging it and getting parts together for the last year and a 1/2. I ran small v bottoms when I was a teenager. I have had so many race boats and fast boats in life like a whole lot of people on this site. Now I have come full circle. Hopefully I won't have the desire to build a Mini max. I don't think my body could do that one again

That’s so cool. Is it a handful to drive or is it predictable?

I sold it but It was pretty easy to drive. The Super Speedmaster makes a big difference in handling.

Much easier to drive. Smaller bullit and props. Way less torque. Faster.

Not sure how I missed this post when new but……., look up “BADDDD ASSSS” in the dictionary, and you will see this picture!

    Perfect balance!

Who needs 300+ HP and 120+ mph when you have that?
    Very cool.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
