These pictures are really hard to load here for me but maybe I will get some help soon. Every weekend it seems we get more done. Guessing you can see without me explaining for the most part but I’m just another weekend warrior shooting in my garage with the ****tiest tools possible lol

Seems like I must be tapping on picture load twice or doing something wrong here I wish I can load all pictures and then do a selection as we go through the stages. Sorry but loading off a phone is not that easy. I’d rather spray the gel. Lol

We are using Fiberlay for all the gel coat material no wax mixed with Duratec clear additive. Sand that down with 120 grit then spraying Duratec sun shield clear top coat

Is these pics straight after spraying no cut/buff? What nozzle size and spray gun are you using?

I do know a little bit about fiberglass though. But yes when I have spare time I do a little grinding. It’s getting 1708 ,balsa bedded in structural putty and covered back with 1708

Great info thanks. For a guy with “no skill” your putting down some pro level finish. Giving me hope to spray gel on mine soon. I’m really enjoying this work, looks like you are too

Thank you I do enjoy once a project is in its final stages I’ve also got one great friend Ron Pratt to guide me along the way so I can’t take all the credit. It’s also my son in law Chris Renggli has worked really hard it’s a lot of Taping ,sanding, both of them are my eyes especially shooting the white and clear
