The reporter failed to mention that Hindi were doing this BEFORE C19. Its a misleading article. Those are sacred animals to them so yes, to westerners its a bit strange. And yes, rubbing feces all over your body is also strange. But.....to them, its normal. Especially when trying to ward off something in particular that they fear will harm them. No different than a Christian bathing in the smoke of frankincense and myrrh.
