    If I remember correctly I believe it increased my vacuum. Some people refer to it as crank case pressure. I know it definitely helps if you highly modify a motor opening and widening ports, port timing, rod slots, exhaust chest. The stuffers I use are underneath the piston. I don’t know what they do on a stock motor, basically when the motor is modified you can get the fuel in and get the exhaust out.

    increases crankcase compression ratio
    that makes for a better carb signal and better low end response but a possible high end pumping loss
    Like everything in a 2 stroke it has a correct number depending on everything else
