...and the advertising budget, and the lamination crew budget, and the lamination equipment, and the fiberglass & coring materials budget, and the rigging crew budget, and the shop rigging equipment budget, and the boats power/drives & rigging hardware budget, and the paint budget, and the liability insurance budget, and, and, and... have done this. it ain't worth it. not even close. the purchase of a mold(s) is the easy part. the purchase of a mold(s) is the least expensive part.

I think the most important thing that I don't see in your list is customer service and character

Rey at HK has such an inviting personality...even with molds that he didn't design, even when many others tried and failed with these molds...Rey did it and continues to do it

Some may say he's lucky, I think he's a great listener, and good follower, and knows where each and every customer wants to be

it's almost dinner time and the last of Rey's workers just said "good night" , the worker leaves the shop so he can be with his family...it is Friday night after all

Rey then puts on his jumpsuit and begins shooting gelcoat,

He doesn't stop shooting his gelcoat till every nook and cranny of his mold is covered

When he completes his goal for the night, Rey looks at his watch and it shows 2:00 AM

He removes his jumpsuit, looks over his work and smiles

He's smiling because he can keep his word for another day ..

Been there, done that. Ran the night crew for many years. It's the best time to work, just a few guys in the shop and no interruptions. Back to the shop at noon for another 12 hr day. Made a lot of money when I was young. Only way to stay caught up with orders. Somebody has to pick up the day crews slack. Customer want their boats ontime and perfect.
