Oh I was about to buy one of those. I haven't messed with one yet, so if anyone is familiar with the hynautic side ram steering then can you please chime in? Tony and I would both appreciate it.
The only hynautic rams I have messed with are the front mount k6, which is in my opinion the best front mount cylinder ever made.

I have/had one on my HST... still on the 2.4L mid in the shed. It must be installed wrong... obviously with the motor pointing straight ahead the ram has to be in the middle of its travel.

Either mounted to the wrong hole in the wingplate or the wrong ram? Hard to guess without photos?

Is it possible for you to post a pic of your mid setup? I'm about to put one on a 2.4 when I get it...Thank you for your time and response!

Are you talking about the Hynautic one that screws into the tilt tube? If so, which link arm are you using? one from a K-10 won't work, you need a standard one like what comes with the engine...... similar to this:

One thing... not sure it's cause & effect but I noticed my driveshaft is twisted in the splines and because the wing plate is sandwiched between the mid & the exhaust plate; the driveshaft doesn't engage all the way into the crankshaft?

Just an FYI... not even sure the wing plate caused it; I bought it this way.
