so, with a 6800 limiter and 1.13 ratio, will current props work on this thing? with those numbers and zero slip with a 19" prop you're looking at 108ishMPH... not that the boats running currently are terribly faster than that (NGK) but still seems damn slow. am I missing something?

Ahh, no, that's just a black and red diamond shaped decal on the deck.

I'm not sure what the ratio was, although the SSM on that motor was stamped 5:7. I assume that's the gear ratio. I was told it's an overdrive gear ratio, so that does make sense. GPS saw 118 in testing.

Will do, its the next step of progression for him but its a major C.G., speed, and horsepower change "basically like a different boat then what he has been running".

RJ posted some video from the cockpit as well. Can hear the motor fairly well.

Thanks for the share. How hard is it to mount that 3.4 powerhead to a "regular" mid for Merc? Does not seem to be a stretch.

It has a 22:18 overdrive under the powerhead and then 15:17 in the SSM IV. So the revs and torque sort of end up similar at the propshaft.

Anybody know the price of the 200 APX? Has this motor been approved by APBA? I haven’t seen the latest changes on current rule books and specs.

The story I heard in the pits was $45k. Clover Racing bought one, and the guy driving the #14 boat already had one.

Sounds like they will need to put one on a 15" Todd D is trying with others to start a 3C class in the US, single engine Cat 20 to 27 foot I believe , no speed limits. Todd Is working on making a 24 version of his 20.
