    175 efi reed upgrade

I'm considering installing CCMS reeds and stuffers in my 2000 Merc 175 EFI. The engine is bone stock right now. It's on a heavy bass boat. High end power isn't a big concern but I'd love to get a little better planing power with the prop I have. Would I notice any improvement?

Slight. Cutting the heads to make 145psi or a light flywheel or all three would be safe things to do that are likely to yield better holeshot. Reeds alone will give you gains but it may be hard to notice.
