I dont know if any of 'yall ever used SPI stuff...Southern Polyurethanes, but their stuff is first class and their clearcoats are awesome. The customer service is first rate as well. I have spoken to the owner a couple of times. They also sell some colors, black, white, red, and a couple more. But their reducer is second to none, and they deliver to your door for free if there is not a dealer in your area. Put it this way, I will buy their stuff as long as they are in business. Fantastic product, great prices, and excellent customer service. If you have any questions, call them. They pick up the phone. They also have a chat room to talk to others if you need.
Just putting in a paint supply company if anyone was looking for supplies and hadnt heard of them. I have used them for 5-6 years now. The best part about their universal clear, is that its a 1-1 ratio. So, if you buy their gallon, you actually will have 2 gallons of clear to spray if you needed it. Its tough as nails and easy to sand out if done early..........
I forgot to mention what I have used from them........ primer, primer sealer, universal clear, epoxy primer, intercoat clear, reducer, white basecoat, and black basecoat. Their black is like triple black too.
Cdave, I am in complete agreement about spraying epoxy primer. I would use it over self etch or dtm primer anyday. You can use the epoxy primer anywhere you need primer and no stink like 2k. I still used regular primer over top, but I know some that used numerous coats of epoxy and blocked it out like reg primer..........each to his own.Last edited by keefallan; 04-23-2021 at 01:46 PM.

I appreciate everyone's input. I'm terrible at picking color combinations and that is why I asked for y'all's input. Thanks, everyone.
Anyone else who wants to vote please do.
This is my truck after the wreck that happened Dec. 2019.
This is it during the ice storm we had this winter.
If anyone is interested this is the solar battery maintainer I use. The same brand our military uses.
I have the SP-5 but it's been replaced by this one.

I shoot urethane on my outboard stuff(usually) because its easier and faster. But I shoot base/clear on auto stuff.
