I wonder if hydrofoils will dominate the boating market at some point, they're ugly, but offer a lot of advantages

I actually addressed exactly that topic in my article. Hydrofoils are actually inefficient and problematic for powerboats, all in the article. So no, we won't see many hydrofoils beyond the novelty stuff. Electric can work for slow cruising, day boats etc. Most of the electric startups, like Zin, don't know anything about boat design, so they make a really inefficient hull and struggle to get the range and performance that would excite people.

Careful, that's a fraudulent company. It was a highly pumped SPAC, and the founder already exited and is under investigation. They have no actual proprietary technology.

Have a neighbor with a tesla. Powers it via multi sets of solar panels. Takes a whole fn week to top it off when real low. Just 2 =3 days for a top off. He drives the car local only for short trips. The teslas have a constant drain and have to be maintained all the time. I guess the point is that you CAN use free energy to power an ev, but it requires patience.

Wow that hydrofoil is a bad ***** .

I had no idea .................................. it would take nearly 30% of available battery to clear the Viking cruize liner ....

Just think , you could charge up and go after her again 12 hr's later ...

If you read the article, they also calculated it with free electricity and the Tesla still doesn't pay for itself.

Here is some reality about alternative energy, that the lefties won't like. Remember, conservatives hate to be lied to, and the Democrats,(commies, lefties), hate the truth!

That was a real eye opener. Backs up what I suspected. And showed so many flaws we face in energy production.

    Finances

The organization depends on donations to produce its content.[26] Much of PragerU's early funding came from hydraulic fracturing (fracking) billionaires Dan and Farris Wilks.[3][6] Two members of the Wilks family sit on PragerU's board.[3] The next-largest donor is the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.[8][27] Other donors include the Morgan Family Foundation, Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, Donors Trust, the late Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson,[7] Lee Roy Mitchell,[7] and the Minnesota-based Sid and Carol Verdoorn Foundation, led by former C.H. Robinson CEO Sid Verdoorn.[27]
As of 2018, the organization reportedly had a $10 million annual budget, of which it spent more than 40% on marketing.[3] In 2020, PragerU reported to have received about $28 million in revenues, most of it from donations, and reported approximately $28 million in expenditures, with 39% going into marketing.[1] PragerU consistently spends more on Facebook advertising than major political campaigns and national advocacy groups.[28] In 2019 it ranked among the 10 biggest political spenders on the platform.[28]
In 2020, PragerU received $704,057 in coronavirus relief loans from the Paycheck Protection Program.[29]
    Content

PragerU releases one video per week on various topics from a conservative viewpoint that according to its site "advances Judeo-Christian values". Its videos, although topical, largely avoid mentioning former U.S. President Donald Trump.[6][26][30] As of May 2020, its YouTube channel included 968 videos.[31] Each video costs between $25,000 and $30,000 to create.[3]
The videos support and argue for capitalism, against a $15 minimum wage, and that gun ownership is a constitutional right. Dave Rubin states in a video: "racism, bigotry, xenophobia, homophobia, and Islamophobia" are "meaningless buzzwords". In a video about the alt-right, Michael Knowles argues that it has nothing in common with conservatism and instead is close to leftism, except the left is much larger.[3]
The videos promote the Electoral College, arguing that it thwarts voter fraud and that "pure democracies do not work".[8] PragerU's videos promote false claims about climate change.[32][33][34][35] Over a dozen videos promote fossil fuels and dispute the scientific consensus on climate change.[36]

So they are funded by the oil industry so I'm sure it's all true ...right
