Just came back from a trip into the Smokey Mtns. At one viewing area on the mountain road they have an EV charging sta. A small generator, meter, and a plug set-up. The look on the tesla drivers face when the sign said "out of order" was priceless. Guess he was counting on a recharge in a bad way. But i'm sure a big ole diesel came and flat bedded him back to town eventually. But with no cell service he had a long wait for help.

I wonder if they use an electric truck to haul the gasoline up the mountain to run the generator?

I think it is an under ground lp tank that fuels it.

They will all use more "old fashioned" power to charge up "new fangled" power .. be it either shown ... or hidden ..

I liked when Cleetus explained about unleashing the bald eagles on the cell phone car ..

The new EV Hummer is 830 hp and 11,500 ft lbs of torque, zero to sixty in 3 seconds. Production is sold out on the first luxury version but when they get a battery pack that will carry it 700 miles straight (at my driving pace), charge stations that will handle the fast charge requirements, then sign me up. Until then, I have no interest in spending that kind of money on something that we can't pull a boat on an intended 15 hour trip with. I just added up fuel spent this week in our household Diesel 134.00, fuel in wifes suv 76.00, fuel in my two cars 125.00, fuel in my sons truck 60.00 None of them will make past Wed. without needing to be replenished. This does not count running the LCB, tri-toon, or jet pack all of which were used in the last seven days. I am in no way saying that our household consumption is normal but anyone that knows me will tell you that its what it is and 2K a month is crazy. Think of what the guys that have big boats spend on an average weekend--Electric will take over at some point.

" 830 hp and 11,500 ft lbs of torque, zero to sixty in 3 seconds."

They got issues. My old azz went Zero to sixty in .9 seconds ..

And in 3 seconds .. easier way to say it 2.74 @ 110 in 330'

Looks like they wastin bout 10,000 ft/lbs ... or need to go on a serious diet ...

    Just sayin from experience

At what RPM does it make 830 hp and 11,500 ft lbs? And don't say at all rpm's because that is not possible.

All rpm! As long as the 3 phase extension cord is plugged in.

Back to the drag strip.... We are talking about the future and once again Yamaha being first to the market with a new product that is better then anything else available at present time in its class.

I think it will be longer but at any rate no one will be able to afford them except maybe the wealthy rich. They are sayings significantly more expensive than lithium ion so come on $900 lithium ion battery and solid state way more, you're gonna buy that. And just how many think you need to run your car or truck?
