WTB 240 / 250 sportjet powerhead
I recently acquired a 2003 Seadoo speedster in a trade. The engine came disassembled in 3 totes. After brief research I’ve learned the engine is a 210 hp carb model(with a large chunk missing from the block) not the original 240hp efi engine. I’m looking for a complete replacement 240 efi - needing rebuild is ok if the price is right- or a efi powerhead which will work with the m2 jet drive. I’ve seen there’s a 250 optimax jet drive which I’m interested in.. it appears I would need a different adapter plate.. also I’ve read some speculation of possibly using an outboard powerhead?.. if a 250 or 225 optimax would work.. I might be interested in buying one of you have it.. thanks

The crank spline is different on an outboard and a sport jet so you would have to swap cranks to put an outboard powerhead in your squirt boat. A 225 Pro Max is the outboard equivalent of the 240 jet. I don't see this being a more economical route than finding another 240 jet. A Pro Max outboard powerhead is worth more than Half fast is asking for his sugarsand...
