Mercury 2000 xr6 head bolts question
Can I reuse head bolts on my Xr6 ser.# OT147230 one time? Bought the motor new so this will be the first time reused and if so what torque should I use and if I can not reuse, where is the best place to get new head bolts? My head bolts measure 2-15/16" long. Bolt part # 10-832971. That is .375-16 not sure what length bolt that is.

Most will say yes, you can. If you are in the stock compression range it should not make a difference. 35 ft-lbs is good.
