    Back order Mercury 450R

    Hi!

    I hope you are well.

I will replace my 400R with a 450R. The market for outboards are so hot its difficult to get a firm date for a new 450R to be delivered. How many months do you need to wait for a new one in US?

    Have a nice day!

If you are repowering, buying first and selling after you get the new motors sounds like a good idea. Unless you are also doing a total rebuild of the hull and plan to miss a year of boating anyway.

Unless you can find one in stock at a dealer somewhere, as a consumer you're going to be waiting a good long time.

Damnit...I think everyone across the board is looking at a minimum of 90 days for anything else at this point and regardless of company, they are looking at fall or '22 for higher HP. Start planning now for next year I spose.

What's the wait for 300R's Randy or 250R's for that matter?

From a spectator’s view I am glad the 450 went to Tuff. It will be interesting to see how the big single flies

Buy a new boat with the 450's, swap out your 400's onto it and resell it........ unless you want to wait til the end of time...............
