Transom bolt torque
Getting ready to bolt my jackplate on my hydrostream any ideas on how much to torque the bolts? Sure don't them to come loose but don't want to crack the fiberglass!

Plywood core, up to 50 ft. #'s Engine to jackplate 1/2'' bolts 90 lb#s Foam core trans: I am scared to go over 35 ft#'s. Tighten securely and use good nyloc's. Check every few trips for a while to look for any compression if it's a new trans. They don't need to be crazy tight. Just even and secure. Edit.....Use the fine thread bolts too if possible.

Is that jack plate to the hull or plate to engine Tq? Skater does a plywood trans too, right?

Jack plate to hull. Yes Skater uses plywood with epoxy/glass over it and paint.

Most people that mount their engines don't use a tq wrench. They use a 8-10''long 3/8'' drive ratchet. Most are torqued far below what they think they are. 35#s on a 1/2'' drive 24'' long handle is a lot of clamping force. Make it as tight as you dare. Stop just before it cracks..Hahaha..

I used stainless socket head cap screws with the thick stainless ARP washers on both the clamp-to-setback and setback-to-transom connections:

Inside the boat- stainless fender washers then thick stainless washers, to spread the load:

Stainless nylocks on all of them:
