Mercury 115
Last fall I picked up a 1978 Baja 16 that has 78 Mercury 115 on it and has not been run in over 10 years. While I was under the cowling I noticed a lot of the original wiring has disintegrated to bare wires. I took the plugs out and put some two stroke oil in the cylinders and spun it over by hand a few times then covered it for the winter. I don't plan on keeping the engine as I wanted only the boat but I figure it would be a plus if it runs as far as selling it. What's the best way to attempt to get her running and about the wires that need replacing, do they need to be anything special or will typical automotive wiring work?
thanks, Bill

Known for wiring to fall apart. Buy a new harness from CDI.
