Many years ago, my brother-in-law and sister had a Honda that was over 150,000 miles on the speedo.
And I had other associates who were proud, when they got near the 150K mark.

But none of them was, as dedicated and passionate as these traveling owners.

The grandmother of traveling wheels, has to be the 1966 Volvo P1800.

The late Irv Gordon, drove over 3 Million Miles in his red Volvo. Apparently the New York school teacher from Long Island loved driving his Volvo. He would take the longer route and the farthest-distant facility’s location, when going to get coffee, donuts or ice cream.

Routinely adjust the valve and change the oil every 3500 miles, helped Irv and the Volvo travel the equivalent of 6 Round Trips to the Moon.

Got 315,000 and counting on my 1990 F250 4X4 W/460 cid. Original engine and most all orig parts. Did a rebuild on trans. Running gear never touched except U-joints. Original interior, looks ok. Never selling it...

I've got around 230K on my 95 K1500 but I've replaced just about everything on this vehicle. Just last month I had to replace, ign. switch, turn signal switch, headlight switch, TPS, and gauge cluster. Everyone of them was bad.

1993 Ford Ranger 2wd 5 speed 3.0 liter, 246,000 miles till my son beat it to death so bad you had to down shift to go up an overpass on the hwy. Replaced the motor with a 1999 3.0 liter with 90k on it. My brother-in-law is still driving it today.

That damn headlight switch got me one morning on my way to work had to sit on the side of the road till the sun came up

I put relays on all my Camaro switches. Crazy how fast the windows are now. Headlights are twice as bright too. A/C blower hi speed. Switches on the chebbies can't handle the load and fail.
