Yamaha 2.6L Crankcase
Looking for a freshwater stock bore horizontal reed 2.6L crankcase.
I have a 97 ProV 200 needing a rebuild. Paid for it like it only needed a bore job/ pistons but I got suckered.

I have a disassembled 225 Excel powerhead. It's missing crank, carbs and heads. Open to reasonable offer. Located in Stillwater, MN.

Will my rotating assembly/ ignition/ carb components bolt up to this block? I just looked up the horizontal reed excel cylinder block on boats.net but cross referencing the number made it appear special only for that year. Or is that due to the 2mm raised exhaust ports?
I know there are some differences across the years of the 2.6 blocks but I'm by no means an expert this is my first v6 motor.

Every 2.6 carb motor I've ever worked on was cross-compatible, but that's just my experience so take that statement for what it's worth. I know my block will need some machine work. Haven't measured yet to know what's needed because I stole the crank for a different project and this one just hasn't made it back into my top 5 list.
