    Question What Carbs?

I'm lookin for rebuild kits for carbs on a 1989 150hp Merc. Serial # OC212264, It looks like two different carbs could have been used? I used the serial number for parts look up but have multiple choice. What's up? how would I identify the carbs?

    8506 REPAIR KIT Carburetor WH-48
    7826 REPAIR KIT WH-38

    Thank you!

really makes no difference.. 99.9999999% of tha time all thats needed with wh carb do over is a good cleaning and NEW gaskets everywhere (they are tha same on 99.999999% of wh carbs)..... jmo.

think merc added needle and seat (pretty much same along with floats in all of 'em also) justa get tha price up cause tha gasket set was cheap... jmo......

Thank you, I had never replaced a needle and seat before. Just cleaned out the rubber flecks from the fuel pump diaphragm and went on. I think as you say , clean them out, new gaskets and rebuild the fuel pump.
