    1988 merc 90

So I have an 88 90hp. Has anyone ever milled the heads to increase compression for added performance? Currently at 120psi acrossed all 3 holes this is on a flats boat/carolina skiff. I was also looking at reeds. Either Boysen or Chris Carelson r ones is one better than the other at certain rpm ranges

Pretty sure you can NOT mill the heads because that motor has no heads. What you see bolted to the back of block is a water jacket. Cylinder head is part of the block. Reeds will make little difference.
