A gun forum I go to has a 50 quality posts rule before you can post or reply to anything in the classifieds or send any private messages. The quality part means no one liners, or simple copy and paste type stuff. It is really effective for weeding out the trouble. They also will bounce people if all they do is hang around the classifieds because they want people who are active so they can get to know you.

Great idea! It will probably save LOTS of work for Greg and Moderators.

Back in the day S&F had a 100 Post Rule on such things or you had to become a paying member. I guess over the years with all the site upgrades etc it got lost in the mix.
