    Peak Volt Meter

Need some help here, pulled this 1970's or 80's Peak Volt Metre out of a box which hasn't seen daylight in decades. I honestly cannot remember which position the function knob should be selected to test stators. Have no manual and searching the internet has come up empty. Any suggestions where it needs to be set at?

Could "S" stand for "stator" by chance ? The + and - positions could be to switch polarity of the meter leads to verify connections get an upscale read on the meter before hitting with full voltage and damage the meter driving the meter "downscale "hard . With only 3 knob positions to check you should be able to decipher pretty quick how the meter works through the process of elimination checking stator cranking volts .
Start on the 500v scale watching for "Upscale " meter deflection and work your way down from there to make sure the meter is connected properly .

"S" is for Sensor, not Stator.... for testing sensor coil output..... similar to the Stevens meter........ http://stevensinstrument.com/Instr.pdf%20CD-77.pdf

You could call them and ask if they have any info on it anymore http://www.esitest.com/
