Boat moved across Ambassador Bridge
Hi,
Is anyone able to move a boat from the US side of the border into Canada for me?
Looking for something on the 27th of this month.
Boat is a 20ft Hydrostream Venom.
Let me know how much you are looking for.
Wasn't sure which category to post this in. Sorry in advance.

Dave from Brothwell https://www.bothwellboatworks.com/
He moved a Tuff 24 the other way. Not for me. I've never seen a Venom but I live near the bridge. There's a Macdonalds there, I'd cheerfully buy you a coffee and talk boats. What motor will you use? Where will you run it?

I purchased a boat from Boston last July-I had Frank Mole bring it to Buffalo-I paid a towing company to go to the other side to meet Frank-I met the tow truck driver at CDN customs-Paid my taxes and was on my way in minutes- I think I paid the towing company $250- BTW Frank advised on the process as he has done it a few times during Covid. Worked perfect, as the CDN towing companies can move across the border without issue-just make sure you give the driver all the paperwork to cross into the US to explain what you/they are doing.

Does the Canada based towing company just arrive with one of there flat beds on the US side, winch the boat and trailer up on it, and go back across the border? Seems pretty simple. Are they allowed to drop off a boat on the USA side the same way?

I bought a 246 Shamrock-on a trailer it was to big for a flatbed-I had mine towed by a regular tow truck-I see no reason why this would not work for you-the seller would arrange the tow to US customs where you would be waiting. if you decide to do it through Buffalo NY I can give you the name of the towing company I used-they have this routine down. my deal was more complicated as I had to have the boat lifted off Frank Mole's trailer and put onto mine at a near by marina.

Growing up in Tonawanda on the Niagara river we would go up a small river just before the Falls on the Canadian side for water skiing smooth water little traffic,
the family had a cottage, real log cabin with concrete between the logs since the 1920's Crystal Beach Ont. going over the boarder back then was nothing like It Is today. We have invented the world; WE see

Greg, yes when I had mine hauled across they had it on a semi trailer. We met at a marina to have the boat lifted off onto my trailer. They also haul them complete on the trailer too but you need to utilize the Marina for the lift service.

Dave Kopriva at Bothwell Boatworks is excellent (519)436-4984. He does a lot of hauling for the marina where I work.
If the boat is on a trailer I'm pretty sure there are a few requirements the trailer must have in order to get registered here (Ontario).
Trailers going from Canada into the US are easier as the Canadian requirements are more stringent.
