I was not around back then but always liked the reruns and am I correct that Don was a pretty involved offshore race guy? Hope they do a remake,

story I remember was his wife put the cabosh on him racing. I have a love of Miami and that period as I spent quite alot of time there and even gave a ride to Don Aaronow from the Cigarette plant to Magnum at about 17 yrs old

first started going to south beach in the 70's, by the 80's you would see Playboy models out rollerblading on Ocean drive like it was just another everyday neighborhood. now ,,, war zone with riff raff ruining the entire vibe. don't think it will ever be the same. like Tom Petty said, " movin on , gotta keep movin on " fun out

I worked the Miami boat show 10 or so yrs ago and employer put me up in a place on the strip.
I had seen a lot in my life but, the strip, at night, during the show...., was over the top!
I remember one intoxicated young woman, w/model good looks, offering herself to me if I let her stay w/me!
Luckily I was (and am) very happily married.
Otherwise.......

They're actually bringing that back now ? Loved that show as a kid - the episode "the Great McCarthey" is one of my first great boating memories. Don Johnson looks pretty dam good for 71 !

been checking out the bits on youtube and from what I can gather they are putting a movie out, Michael Mann is the MAN ! all of his productions are absolutly crisp with cinematic timing and content. looking foreward to it
