Daytona Nascar Roadcourse about 20 laps to go !!!

on Fox now , I love this the best of all of their new interesting approaches to growing the sport and viewership , not just your "go fast and turn left" notice Jessie Smallet is no where to be seen

Bowyer and Gordon actually make a pretty good pair in the booth-
11 to go now, let the wrecking begin
I will say , the rubbing on the road coarse is better to watch than the oval at Daytona
I have gone to find myself , If I return before I get back - Keep me here

I wanted to watch it but is on a local channel we do not get.

They are fun to watch on a road course.

Anyone catch in the lead in to the 500 that they’re doing a dirt oval this season?

If they didn’t try to run a 100 cars at a time, causing wrecks every 15 mins, I might watch.

Nascar is making too much off all the sponsors though.

The dirt race will be a spectacle and if done well....., will be more to come.

    From a spectator/fan standpoint, brilliant!

    The prototypes would destroy them.

    Purely physics.

The prototypes make similar power yet are almost 1500lbs lighter, center of gravity (yawl?) a foot lower, etc, etc......

As a show though, narrow enough tires so the Nascars slide, drift etc.....

Similar to GTO to GTP back in the day in IMSA.

GTP (prototypes) had similar advantages over the GTO (NASCAR level street cars) but IMO, the GTOs were more fun to watch.
The down force of the GTPs sucked off unweeded sour caps, and didn’t slide, Vs GTOs in a 3 wide, full lock, 4 wheel drift, with none lifting!

Some of the best racing ever.

From what I could find the fastest race lap for Nascar at Daytona road course is around 1.56 and for IMSA it was around 1.34.5 for DPi class, fastest class, and 1.43 for the GTLM class-Corvette's, BMW's, Porsche, Ferrari.

That's why NASCAR seemed so slow to me.
