    Flywheel balance?

I found some severely corroded wires on the stator on my 2.0. So I pulled the flywheel to replace the stator and trigger. I noticed a broken screw on the flywheel. Is this going to affect performance or cause a harmonic? Should I go through the hassle of getting the remainder of that screw out and replacing it?

It's preferable to do it right but probably doesn't matter under 6k

I would fix/replace it. Must be a reason the screw is broken.

Is there something else broken in that area? It looks different than all the other screw locations.

Good eye! I can't tell if something is broken out of there or if it is supposed to be like that. It looks like a very clean break if it is broken. Click image for larger version.

Definitely pull the screw out. its not in balance like that.. wont be too hard to get it out.
or drill through it , and then tapa thread into it and put a screw in there...

did you find the offending top part of the screw ?
I would be more worried about that under there than anything else.

Bin it and find a different one. Those screws hold the magnet it.

Well I got half the screw out. Bottom half is still stuck in there. This is the only blind hole on the whole thing. So time to find another one. It was worth the try.

Phill Jack, I didn't find the head of the screw. This thing has sat for 15+ years so I'm sure its long gone. I had the stator and trigger off and nothing is under there so I'm not worried.
